Home Week
The familiarity and comfort of home provides the perfect backdrop for learning; giving children a sense of relevance and personal connection in which to connect key concepts. This week’s topic of Home enhances children’s social and emotional development, as well as language and physical development, and other brain-building skills. From poetry about home, to learning about animal homes, to getting creative and building our own; this week is full of engaging activities as children learn about home.

  • A sheet
  • Stuffed animals
  • Juicer
  • Napkins
  • Plants
  • Small pitcher
  • Small box
  • Toy animals or people
  • Laundry basket or large cardboard box
Materials from the General List:
  • Building materials: Cardboard, cardboard tubes, popsicle sticks, fabric pieces, etc.)
  • Glue
