Who Is This?

Ideal for Infant, Toddler

This activity promotes development and learning by encouraging children to develop a sense of identity and belonging.

Materials Needed:

  • Cloth or hat
  • Stuffed animals
  • Family photos

Participants: This activity is intended for adult/child interaction:

Directions:

Step 1: Sit on the floor with your child. Cover a stuffed animal gently with the cloth or hat.

Step 2: Say the following rhyme,

  • Who is this?
  • Can anybody tell?
  • This is (insert the name of the toy),
  • And I like him very well.

Step 3: Repeat the song with other stuffed animals, family pictures, and family members. Ask your child before you cover her head with the cloth or hat. Some children enjoy this, while others do not.
