Sensory Wind Activity
Ideal for Infant
Children explore wind and air and make a wind sock. This activity promotes development and learning by encouraging children to use their senses to explore and interact with the environment.
Participants: This activity is intended for adult/child interaction with direct adult supervision.
- Step 1: Show your child the fan. Turn it on and let it blow gently on their face (adult supervision required).
- Step 2: Tie a few ribbons to the fan. Watch as they blow in the breeze.
Learn More: Extend this activity outdoors if possible. Spend time outside on a breezy day. Point out to your child how the trees or grass move in the wind. Make a simple windsock by tying ribbons to a lid or frame.
