Self-Esteem Dice Game

This activity promotes development and learning by encouraging children to develop positive relationships with adults, as well as listen to, understand, and respond to communication from others.

Materials Needed:

  • Small to medium size box with all the sides taped closed (such as a tissue box)
  • Construction or decorative paper
  • Plain paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue

Participants: This activity is intended for independent play or adult/child interaction, and 2 or more participants/players (requires at least one reader).

Directions:

  1. Cover small or medium size box with construction or decorative paper.
  2. Write questions and statements on plain paper, cut, and glue to the box.
    1. I am really good at …
    2. I am great because …
    3. 3 words that best describe me are …
    4. I am special or unique because…
    5. I am grateful for…
    6. 3 things I love about me are …
  3. Each player rolls the dice and answers the statement on which it lands. If the player has already answered the statement, they can roll again.
  4. Take turns with each player rolling the dice until everyone has a change to answer all the questions.
