Pizza Party

Ideal for Preschool/Pre-K, School-Age

Mother and son cooking in kitchen. Son is learning texture of flour as powder is released into the air.

This activity promotes development and learning by encouraging children to:

  • Follow multi-step directions
  • Measure and mix ingredients

Materials Needed:

  • 2 Cups of plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 Cups of self-rising flour
  • Tomato sauce
  • Cheese
  • Optional: any additional toppings

Directions:

  1. Wash your hands!
  2. Combine and knead ingredients, adding flour as needed until dough is no longer sticky. (Dough can store up to 7 days in the fridge.)
  3. Roll out dough. Add sauce, cheese, and toppings.
  4. Bake at 475 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes until the crust is golden brown.
