
This activity promotes development and learning by encouraging children to have awareness of their body.
Materials Needed:
- Mirror
Participants: This activity is intended for adult/child interaction.
Directions:
- Hold your baby in front of a mirror.
- Point to body parts and facial features and name them as you go – eyes, nose, arms, etc.
- Step away from the mirror and say, “Where did the baby go?”
- Move back in front of the mirror and say, “There is the baby!”
Repeat for as long as your child is engaged and interested.
